Rainy Day

For some reason Hailey has a fetish for her church shoes......with socks. I think it is so cute how her socks don't match and the shoes are on the wrong feet.

Gracie came over with her skates on, and Hailey immediately put hers on. Hailey had her Elmo umbrella so Gracie had to have her Tinkerbell umbrella.

Daddy's Little Helper
Toby has an ear infection and Hailey's favorite thing is to help dad clean out his ears and put the medicine in.

One Little Curl

All day Hailey has had this one little curl in the middle of her head. (no I did not place it there). Hailey's cousin Addie was always telling us a little poem about a little girl with a little curl. Come to find out, it is a nursery rhyme. I had to call Aunt Becca to teach it to us. I goes like this.... (I think)

There was one little girl with one little curl

Right in the middle of her forehead.

And when she was good, she was very very good

But when she was bad she was horrid

Hailey and I have been practicing it today.

Sorry about all the pictures. I haven't had her pictures taken anywhere (not even a quick trip to JCpenney) in a long time. Plus I am trying to learn how to use my camera and become a better photographer.

Nana, I know you will appreciate Hailey's "cheesy smile" that she likes to give you on the webcam all the time.

I know by now you're thinking I really did stage this whole curl thing because it looks too perfect. Well, I DIDN'T. Nope, I didn't curl it or anything. She just has absolutely awesome hair. She didn't get that from me!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game
Hailey and I threw on our caps and ran to our neighbor friends' softball game.

Hailey calls it a "b-ball game." She was especially excited because Gracie and Ben were going to be there.

Our FAVORITE neighbors!!

Taylor made a great hit!!!!

Hailey stole a ring sucker from Ben and Gracie. Luckily "Wonder Mom" Amy had extras. Hailey is licking her lips with pleasure.

Although they didn't win the tournament, Taylor's team won a participation trophy. Great job Taylor! We had so much fun being there!

Happy Father's Day Dad!
I love YOU!!

Always There For Your Daughter

Every day the whole year through,I feel grateful you are my father.
Some fathers don't have time for their kids,But for you I'm never a bother.
You always make the effort to listen and share; You're always there when you're needed.
It warms me to know how much you care,And with that knowledge my worries are defeated.
Dad, you are truly admired and adored,And as your daughter, I hope that you know,
These sentiments fill me each day of the year,And my love for you continues to grow.
Happy Fathers Day!

Life Lessons

You may have thought I didn't see,Or that I hadn't heard,

Life lessons that you taught to me,But I got every word.
Perhaps you thought I missed it all,And that we'd grow apart,

But Dad, I picked up everything,It's written on my heart.
Without you, Dad, I wouldn't beThe woman I am today;

You built a strong foundation No one can take away.
I've grown up with your values,And I'm very glad I did;

So here's to you, dear father,From your forever grateful kid.

By Joanna Fuchs

Dad, I hope you know how much I love you. Happy Father's Day!

Grandpa, You're the One

Grandpa you're the very best; You're a lot of fun.
When I need someone to care,Grandpa you're the one.
You're always in a real good mood.I'm happy when you're with me;
I love you, and I always will,You're the best grandpa that could be!

Happy Father's Day, Grandpa Rigby and Grandpa Heiner!
Love, Hailey and Katelyn

Happy Father's Day Daddy!!
Walk along side me daddy

And hold my little hand.

I have so many things to learn
That I don't yet understand

Teach me things to keep me safe,
From dangers everyday

Show me how to do my best

At home, at school at play.

Every child needs a gentle hand to guide them as they grow

So walk along side me daddy

we have a long way to go.

DAD
So I looked and looked and couldn’t find
A poem to tell our story
In all and all they lacked the words
And left me in a borey.

My fondest memories include a vest
Its color is bright red
You always seem to have that shirt
It is engraven in my head

Or what about Wynonna Judd
You may not like to say
There is something funny about a Dad
Who rocks out along the way.

I often think about those mushrooms
Fermenting till next dose
I’ll never forget the glass you’d pour
Man we thought that was gross

Which brings me to your desire for health
Apple Vinegar and such
Its claim is “regularity”
Oh no! You took too much!

There was a time when Mom was sick
Your faith is what got us through
But man when it came to oatmeal mornings
We would have rather eaten pooh.

I’ll never forget your immaculate yard
Crab apples on the tree
Or the welts you left on my backside
A friendly war between you and me.

Your love for the outdoors has found its place
Deep down into my heart
There is nothing like the wild outdoors
And that freedom to let a fart.

The old red truck it has been fun
Those times they can’t be beat
You always liked to sit shotgun
Criticizing my lead feet.

Your new found talent of painting
It truly blows my mind
Your works are part of that legacy
When you leave us behind

Speaking of that legacy
The most important thing of all
Is you’ve taught us spiritual lessons
And what to do when you fall

Just like the horses that you love
When we’re thrown off to the ground
Your testimony has taught us such
To get back up, He’ll never let us down.

Now as a Father to my own
Your example is my goal
Thank you Dad for all these times
I promise to follow your role.

Happy Father's Day

Bike Ride

Hailey can't get enough of our cute neighbors Ben, Gracie and Taylor. We went on a bike ride around the block with Hailey, Ben and Gracie in the bike trailor. We all had so much fun and I got a good work out too!

Time to Swim!!

I just snapped a couple pictures of the girls in their swim gear. I put a hat on Kate and Hailey wanted one too (big surprise ha,ha) so she put on one of Kate's hats. I had been looking forever for a cute swimsuit coverup and found matching ones at Old Navy. Hooray!

My sweet baby Kate

My Little Helper

Hailey had so much fun helping me feed Kate today. I just have to make sure Hailey doesn't stick the spoon in too far!

I was talking to a guy about our car insurance coverage on the phone and wasn't paying much attention to Kate in the middle of a feeding. I sat the food on the table (thinking she wouldn't be able to get it) to grab a paper on our other table. I had just finished giving this guy some information and turned around to this!! She had it everywhere in minutes!!! I definitely underestimated her.

New Playset!!!

BEFORE

Ok, so we bought a new swing/slide playset and it sat in our garage for a couple months until we could get our fence up. Then John and I went to put it up and realized what a daunting task it was. We started getting everything out in the late afternoon and didn't get very far when John had to leave at 3:00 in the morning for a week on a business trip to California. (He is still gone so I will be making "daddy update"posts until he gets back). Anyway, I ended up hiring a couple of the young men in our ward to put this giant thing together. They did an awesome job and we couldn't be happier!!!!
