Painting

First of all thank you Andrea for the color (this may give you a good idea of what it looks like Rebecca S.)!!! I love it. I don't like to paint very much but since I spend tons of time in my bath, I wanted it to be peaceful. What a difference it makes to slap on a coat of paint!

Zoo Pass!!

Hooray for zoo passes! I can tell we are going to be regulars this year at the zoo. Hailey's favorite animal is the elephant but she was getting pretty close to this gigantic walrus!

Kate and Abbey hugging!

Hailey was having so much fun holding Kate's hand and showing her around!

A Simple Solution to a Little Escape Artist

For those of you with kids that like to escape out the front door and dash into the road faster than lightning, this small lock may offer some peace. IT DID FOR ME!!Originally I was going to have the locksmith install another dead bolt but found out these are less expensive and just as effective!

Too bad my kids can't reach that high and even if they could wouldn't be able to figure out how to unlock it!!! HA ha ha!

Pajama Party

With Daddy gone on business, Hailey and I had a fun night together (we missed Kate who was fast asleep). I propped up the camera and used the timer to take this picture. I had to capture that moment of pure happiness as Hailey realized she got to stay up late, watch a movie, sleep in mommy's bed and eat popcorn!

A Good Day!!

On Sunday, April 20th, Kate spent her first official day at church in nursery! It was so fun to see my two little girls together.
Thanks to my sweet neighbor for taking a quick family picture, and thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Heiner for the cute dresses for the girls!

I've Never Considered Myself a Crafty Person...But this was Fun to Make!!
I have seen diaper cakes like this before and remember thinking, "Man that is cute, but way too time consuming." Well, let's just say I got a little bored. I enjoy doing crafts (simple ones), I just don't have vision when it comes to CREATING something on my own. That is why I love the Google search engine (for instructions on how to make a diaper cake like this click here.)
I am attending baby shower tomorrow for a friend and hope she likes the end result!

A little hobby of mine is to crochet beeds onto baby socks. I threw a couple pairs on the cake to finish it off!

The finished product!!

Random Rainy Late Night Walk

For some reason Hailey wanted to go for a walk at 9:30 at night???? I know she should be in bed, but we thought, why not? We didn't really want to find her coat (it is always missing), so she wore one of mine. It was slightly sprinkling, but it felt so good to get some fresh air!

On our way back we noticed little Gracie outside her door. Hailey obviously yelled out her name and they both started running out in the road. We told her to stop to which she replied, "But I gotta give her a hug!" So I took a picture of the result!

Thank heavens for those fun crazy moments.

Fondue Night

We had a blast hosting a fondue/egg coloring/balloon popping/Ben's Birthday night of fun!!!

Late Easter Post

Ok, feel free to laugh at their egg-hunting outfits. Church is at 1:00, so we were a little lazy Easter morning. The funniest thing is that in an effort to save teeth this year I used the same baskets from last year and didn't buy easter candy for the eggs. Mostly because I thought they would love fruit snacks just as much.

Well, I started feeling bad that I didn't buy candy so John found three packs of old starburst candy in his golf bag while cleaning the garage the day before. Needless to say the candy was hard, but do you think the girls cared? Not a chance!

Hailey finally let me braid her hair in french braids because Gracie let me do her hair. Thank you Gracie!

A Week With Nana Rigby!!

First of all, I just want to thank you Dad (Grandpa Rigby) not only for organizing and scheduling the flight but for letting us steal your wife for an entire week! I love you Dad! (Next time you're coming out ok?) Thank you Annie for being patient with us, especially on your birthday!
I know this is cheesy, but words can't really express how much we enjoyed every single minute Nana was here. We have missed her so much! We miss family in general! I know we didn't really do anything exciting but my mom told me that all she really wanted to do was play with the kids and that is pretty much all we did!
I downloaded all the pictures and realized that Nana is only in a couple of them because she was the one taking all the pictures! Sorry mom, I wasn't paying attention!

Dinner at our favorite restaurant Boulder Creek with Nana. The wiki sticks are always a hit for Hailey and Kate.

The infamous ice cream sundae that we devoured in minutes!

The second we got home Nana pulled out her huge suitcase full of Easter goodies! The darling baskets have skirts on them that detach so that smiling little girls can wear them (much like my sweet little girls). Thank you Nana!!!

Hailey had way to much fun having Nana sleep in her room. During the night Hailey rolled over, put her arms around Nana and said, "Nana you can sleep in my bed for a long, long time. I love you!"

Costco ice cream!

Reading books in our new reading chair (thanks to John, man, what a steal on the price!)

We had to visit our one and only McDonald's

Hanging out with the Mendenhalls'

Nana's Famous Mickey Mouse pancakes. Mom, I can't thank you enough for letting me sleep in every morning and feeding the girls breakfast! I was in heaven!

I also have to thank you for the delicious meals you cooked: homemade chicken noodle soup, fish and cocktail sauce, homemade rolls, homemade cinnamon rolls, and my favorite peach cobbler!!!

Nana found this swimsuit and cover-up at Costco. It was an obvious MUST HAVE!

Nana bought these darling dresses for the girls. THANK YOU! Can you tell these girls get spoiled?

Thank you Mom, WE LOVE YOU!
