To Cut, or Not to Cut?
That is the Question!

Ok, this may seem like a silly question but I am really trying to figure out what to do. John doesn't want me to cut Hailey's hair at all. (he is obviously not the one trying to brush through her hair as she cries her head off... literally). I know she is in dire need of at least a trim. But how much is too much? Do I go to a short bob so it is easier to manage? Don't get me wrong I love doing pony tails and fun things with her hair but that is if she will let me! I feel like she is looking more and more grown up with every inch and to tell you the truth it scares me! May be I just need a better detangler or conditioner. Any ideas? I sure wish our favorite hair dresser (that's you Bec) could help us out on this one. I don't dare do it myself!
Oh, and by the way I do not condone the gallon of lipstick on her lips, she got into my makeup...again.

I'd try a heavy conditioner...its just so gorgeous! But really her hair is just the icing on the cake for that preciously adorable face. You can't go wrong!

NO!!! DON'T CUT IT!!! Mel you know you can't cut that beautiful hair! Try the conditioner first...it will work. Her hair is amazing though it needs to stay. Other than that...Love the blogging...Halloween looked like a ton of fun!

Her hair is adorable! I saw take an inch or two off and that will make it alot healthier right there. It'll feel soft and healthy again.

Hailey would look cute either way. I can't believe how long her hair is now. The lipsticks great!

Just a trim, and I second. Spring for some really good conditioner like Paul Mitchell's detangler. I also use Wal-Mart's brand of "No More Tears" spray on Lucy's curly mess each morning and it really helps. It's so beautiful, don't cut it! That's my 2 cents for the day! Love ya, Rachel

You are to dang cute! Her hair is darling! I would just give it a good trip and inch or so. I like Paul Mitchell datangler to, or the leave-in kids spray conditioner and brush with a big paddle brush (so Addie says) because the comb I like to use makes her feel like "all her hair is falling out" :) What ever you do will be so cute! side note: I cut Addies hair for summer, and lets say it is way more work! And I am getting the idea that she likes to spend as much time on her hair as Hailey!

Cut...Cut...Cut!! I am all about cutting the hair. It would be so super cute and....it will always grow back out and by then she will be a little older and won't throw such a fit.

Hi Melanie, I would try a good conditioner and a spray detangler. As a child I had horrible hair, good shampoo(not the cheap stuff you buy in the kid section) and conditioner. That would be what I tried first, I think that her hair is adorable.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTTING!!!!!! I know how frustrating it is to comb out the rats but oh my goodness she has cute hair! I'd say a small little trim that's IT!

I'm obviously the wrong person to ask since I haven't cut my own hair in like 15 years or something riddiculous. I love her hair! But, i hate to think of sweet little Hailey hating to get her long locks combed through. I would try some serious conditioners before I resorted to cutting it.

Hi Melanie,John,Hailey and Katelyn,
We are sending you this message from Costa Rica! Having a great time, we tried to call but it is very difficult to do.We love the new pictures. I love her hair either way..I'm a terrible person to ask. Look at Annie's hair that we have hardly ever cut other than a trim!
