Miss You Already

This past week was awesome.
I never like it when John goes out of town (especially when it is for ten days), but this time he flew out my sister-in-law Rebecca and her daughter and my sweet niece Addie.
Oh happy day!
I can't even begin to explain how much fun we had.
Of course we enjoyed ZooBoo, making suckers, spiders and painting fingernails, but I think Becca would agree we had a blast decorating my house!!!
I have always loved the way Becca decorates her own home, so I had her help me add simple accessories to mine! We used most of what I already had and T.J. Maxx Home Goods and Goodwill took care of the rest.
I feel like I've been on extreme home makeover from simply rearranging furniture and adding a few pillows and window coverings!!!
I'm sure you are sleep deprived Bec after four straight nights of working until four in the morning and living on wheat toast, but man did we have fun!!! I'm also sure you never want to hang another curtain rod again in your life but I hope you know how much I appreciate it. I know you don't believe me but you are truly a talented decorator. Thank you Addie for playing with the girls and for  being our biggest helper!
In short, thanks for everything, we love you, we miss you.

Becca, Addie and Hailey

Here are just a few pictures of things we worked on. I love my new frame wall!!

Check out my new plate wall to the left (we found most of the plates at Goodwill)

We brought in the dresser from out in the garage. I put toys in it now.

Three Years Old

My sweet Kate, I love you!! I can't believe you are already three. It's hard to believe we have lived in Indiana your entire life thus far. You are the girliest of girls and you never cease to amaze me with your countless wardrobe changes. Yes, you are stubborn, but also very sweet.
Thanks to our amazing friends Megan, Roberta, and Makayla you had a beautiful barbie cake. We had a blast celebrating your birthday with Aunt Becca and cousin Addie. To my little princess, here's to another fun-filled year of dresses, sparkly shoes and lots of dancing.

Talk About Cute

Lilly got spoiled in the blanket department thanks to my two wonderful moms! My mom made this beautiful baby quilt and my mother-in-law made the gorgeous polka dot ruffle blanket. I can't get enough of them! It's all about the simple pleasures in life right?

Lilly was crying on the bed the other day and Hailey jumped up, cuddled up next to her and started patting her bum. Hailey said she was "burping her." Lilly calmed right down and fell asleep on her.

Kate

Kate has said some pretty funny things lately. Today Lilly spit up on her hand. Kate seemed a little mad and annoyed. I told her it was ok and helped her wipe her hand off.
About ten minutes later as I was doing her hair she said, "Lilly spit up on my hand."
I replied, "I know, she didn't mean to."
Kate's answer, "Let's put her in the dungeon."

I don't know where she came up with this one either, but anytime she is mad at me she says, "I'm going to put you in the fire with snakes."

Don't ask me where she learns this stuff, because I have no idea.

Nana Visit

We were all spoiled to have Nana Rigby with us for two weeks, (not to mention Grandma Heiner with us a week before that)! Thank you Nana for driving the girls to dance, preschool and everywhere else while I spent time with baby Lilly. Thank you for spending hours outside on the swings and giving the girls princess manicures. We love you and miss you!

We were at John's office when we heard a bird hit the glass. It was pretty shaken up, so obviously the girls picked it up. Kate held the bird like Mary Poppins and loved every minute of it!

This blessing dress will always be special because Nana bought it! Thank you!!

It was so special to have Nana there for Hailey's Primary program. Hailey sang every song and had her part memorized. She said, "I will seek the Lord early by learning scripture stories from my mom and dad."
