Nana, I know you will appreciate Hailey's "cheesy smile" that she likes to give you on the webcam all the time.
I know by now you're thinking I really did stage this whole curl thing because it looks too perfect. Well, I DIDN'T. Nope, I didn't curl it or anything. She just has absolutely awesome hair. She didn't get that from me!

Taylor made a great hit!!!!
Hailey stole a ring sucker from Ben and Gracie. Luckily "Wonder Mom" Amy had extras. Hailey is licking her lips with pleasure.
Although they didn't win the tournament, Taylor's team won a participation trophy. Great job Taylor! We had so much fun being there!

Every day the whole year through,I feel grateful you are my father.
By Joanna Fuchs
You may have thought I didn't see,Or that I hadn't heard,
Perhaps you thought I missed it all,And that we'd grow apart,
Without you, Dad, I wouldn't beThe woman I am today;
You built a strong foundation No one can take away.
I've grown up with your values,And I'm very glad I did;
So here's to you, dear father,From your forever grateful kid.
By Joanna Fuchs
Dad, I hope you know how much I love you. Happy Father's Day!
You're always in a real good mood.I'm happy when you're with me;
I love you, and I always will,You're the best grandpa that could be!

And hold my little hand.
I have so many things to learn
Teach me things to keep me safe,
Show me how to do my best
At home, at school at play.
Every child needs a gentle hand to guide them as they grow
So walk along side me daddy
we have a long way to go.

A poem to tell our story
In all and all they lacked the words
And left me in a borey.
My fondest memories include a vest
Its color is bright red
You always seem to have that shirt
It is engraven in my head
Or what about Wynonna Judd
You may not like to say
There is something funny about a Dad
Who rocks out along the way.
I often think about those mushrooms
Fermenting till next dose
I’ll never forget the glass you’d pour
Man we thought that was gross
Which brings me to your desire for health
Apple Vinegar and such
Its claim is “regularity”
Oh no! You took too much!
There was a time when Mom was sick
Your faith is what got us through
But man when it came to oatmeal mornings
We would have rather eaten pooh.
I’ll never forget your immaculate yard
Crab apples on the tree
Or the welts you left on my backside
A friendly war between you and me.
Your love for the outdoors has found its place
Deep down into my heart
There is nothing like the wild outdoors
And that freedom to let a fart.
The old red truck it has been fun
Those times they can’t be beat
You always liked to sit shotgun
Criticizing my lead feet.
Your new found talent of painting
It truly blows my mind
Your works are part of that legacy
When you leave us behind
Speaking of that legacy
The most important thing of all
Is you’ve taught us spiritual lessons
And what to do when you fall
Just like the horses that you love
When we’re thrown off to the ground
Your testimony has taught us such
To get back up, He’ll never let us down.
Now as a Father to my own
Your example is my goal
Thank you Dad for all these times
I promise to follow your role.

I just snapped a couple pictures of the girls in their swim gear. I put a hat on Kate and Hailey wanted one too (big surprise ha,ha) so she put on one of Kate's hats. I had been looking forever for a cute swimsuit coverup and found matching ones at Old Navy. Hooray!

I was talking to a guy about our car insurance coverage on the phone and wasn't paying much attention to Kate in the middle of a feeding. I sat the food on the table (thinking she wouldn't be able to get it) to grab a paper on our other table. I had just finished giving this guy some information and turned around to this!! She had it everywhere in minutes!!! I definitely underestimated her.

Ok, so we bought a new swing/slide playset and it sat in our garage for a couple months until we could get our fence up. Then John and I went to put it up and realized what a daunting task it was. We started getting everything out in the late afternoon and didn't get very far when John had to leave at 3:00 in the morning for a week on a business trip to California. (He is still gone so I will be making "daddy update"posts until he gets back). Anyway, I ended up hiring a couple of the young men in our ward to put this giant thing together. They did an awesome job and we couldn't be happier!!!!
